George was born and raised in Sunderland and from the age of 12 wanted to be an architect.

After studying architecture at the University of Newcastle and University College London, George started his own practice.

In 2011 George set up his new company George Clarke + Partners. George Clarke + Partners is an inspirational, new, multidisciplinary company that covers all aspects of architecture, design, project management, construction and property development.

George says: “I [have] always wanted to start a new company that isn’t just about architecture, but also covers all aspects of the design, build and property development business.

Through his innovative new company, TV presenting, lecturing and research, George aims to make architecture popular and accessible to everyone, and to share his passion for architecture’s ability to transform our everyday lives.
