Emma Lewisham has packed a lot into her 37 years. She’s studied business in Barcelona, sits on the board of a charitable trust and has been actively involved in women’s advocacy for over a decade across organisations including Zonta International and Global Women.
Emma’s educational background includes a BCom (Hons) from Otago University, where she laid the foundation for her business acumen. Notably, she completed her final year at ESADE, a prestigious business university in Barcelona, showcasing her international perspective and commitment to academic excellence.
With eight years of senior executive experience at a global multinational technology brand, Emma honed her skills before venturing into entrepreneurship. In 2019, she launched her eponymous beauty brand, Emma Lewisham Skincare, which has rapidly become a global leader in the beauty industry. The brand not only competes with the most recognised luxury names but also pioneers a circular and carbon-positive beauty model, reflecting Emma’s dedication to sustainability.
Emma’s involvement in women’s advocacy spans over a decade, where she has actively contributed to organisations such as Zonta International and Global Women. As a member of Zonta International, she aligns with the organisation’s mission to promote women’s rights as human rights and empower women to achieve their full potential. Emma is also a proud member of Global Women, a collaborative platform of New Zealand’s influential women leaders striving for inclusivity and diversity to foster societal and economic growth.
Dedicating her time to charitable endeavours, Emma currently serves on the board of the Second Nature Charitable Trust. The trust oversees significant community assets, including the Vodafone Events Centre and Vector Wero Whitewater Park. Through its initiatives, the trust delivers the country’s largest free schools program, offering high-quality educational experiences led by industry professionals. Emma’s involvement reflects her commitment to giving back and building a better New Zealand.
In recognition of her entrepreneurial success, Emma Lewisham received the Best Emerging Business Award at the 2021 Westpac Auckland Business Awards. This accolade highlights her exceptional business growth achieved through effective planning and delivery over the last one to five years.
