Mark Gallagher
Mark Gallagher has worked in Formula One for over 30 years, including holding senior leadership roles within Jordan Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing and Cosworth Engineering. During his career he has worked with many of the sport’s leading drivers, including Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard, and has been at the epicentre of many of the sport’s key developments.
After seven years working in the media he joined Eddie Jordan’s fledgling Grand Prix team in 1990, and was later promoted to the team’s management board as marketing director. He was responsible for sponsorship and commercial affairs at Red Bull Racing in 2004 and took over the operation of Cosworth’s Formula One engine business in 2009.
Along the way he founded and owns his own racing team, Status Grand Prix, which won the 2009 Motorsport World Cup of Motorsport and today competes in Formula One’s feeder categories. He helped developed the new hybrid engine regulations introduced into Formula One in 2014, is part of the 2015 BBC commentary team and recently published his second book;’The Business of Winning – Strategic Success from the Formula One track to the Boardroom.
