Dara Ó Briain has hosted and appeared on a number of successful panel shows; as well as The Panel and Mock the Week he has featured on Don’t Feed the Gondolas, Have I Got News For You, QI and The Apprentice: You’re Fired!.
The Irish Independent described him as “Terry Wogan’s heir apparent as Britain’s favourite Irishman”.

Since January 2006, Dara Ó Briain has taken part in the BBC Three Men in a Boat series, with Rory McGrath and Griff Rhys Jones. The series, broadcast in pairs of episodes around New Year in 2006 and then every year since 2008 have almost consistently brought in 3 million viewers.
Dara Ó Briain was made a household name in Ireland due to his various television roles, whilst his stand up career took-off internationally as he began to tour heavily across Europe, Asia, Australia and North America, with gigs including Dubai, Boston, Adelaide, Shanghai and New York.
Since 2005 he has hosted the comedy panel game Mock the Week on BBC television – a blend between Have I Got News for You and Whose Line Is It Anyway? And is a frequent panelist on QI, writing about Ireland in the QI series E annual. Dara Ó Briain also repeatedly appears on BBC Radio 4’s Just a Minute and has appeared in and hosted the stand-up show Live at the Apollo.
In addition, Dara Ó Briain has starred in the BBC Radio show’s The World According to Science – Episode 1 of the Infinite Monkey Cage on Radio 4.
In 2010, he hosted The Sixth series of The Apprentice: You’re Fired! and appeared twice on the Sky1’s A League of Their Own.
Dara Ó Briain is also one of the most sought-after award show hosts in Britain, and regularly hosts the BAFTA Games Awards.
Dara tours regularly, and has performed shows all over world, from Moscow to Sydney, Tromsø to Malta, and has recorded five live DVD’s for Universal Pictures. He also holds the record for the most appearances in a year for Dublin’s legendary Vicar Street.
Dara released the bestselling book Tickling The English in 2009, and more recently his non-fiction children’s book about space, Beyond The Sky, was nominated for Best Book with Facts at the 2018 Blue Peter Brook Awards.
In 2018 Dara Ó Briain wrote the follow up book, Secret Science – The Amazing World Beyond your Eyes, which was received with great critical acclaim.
