Harvey Goldsmith CBEтАЩs career began as a promoter in the 1960s. By the end of that decade, heтАЩd created a number of high profile events, including the Crystal Palace Garden Parties and the 14 Hour Technicolor Dream. In the next ten years, Wembley Stadium became a major destination for the worldтАЩs leading artists, and London became the top city for pop concerts.

In 1992, he organised the Tribute to Freddie Mercury to increase AIDs awareness, and became chairman of the first National Music Day, during which 1500 musical events took place around the UK. In 1993, he was made Vice Chairman of the PrinceтАЩs Trust Management Board, and has since become synonymous with the organisation.
