He has also appeared in the James Bond, Harry Potter and the Shrek film series. He also supplies his distinctive voice to various animates and video projects, as well as advertisements.
As a co-founder of Video Arts, John Cleese makes entertaining training films, and despite the fame he has achieved as part of some of the most iconic comedy classics ever made, his public presentations are underlined by his experiences of founding and running Video Arts.
Video Arts produced 100 films teaching management skills, sales and service between the years of 1972 and 1991, and Cleese wrote and appeared in a number of them. He also wrote two psychological bestsellers.
From 1973 until 1976, he was Rector of the University of St Andrews, and in his capacity as Professor-at-large at Cornell University in New York, he lectures about business, writing and psychology.
