Dr. Merritt Moore graduated with an undergraduate degree in physics from Harvard and with a PhD in Atomic and Laser Physics from the University of Oxford. She is Adjunct Professor at NYU Abu Dhabi teaching “Creative Robotics & Tech, ” a course that fuses innovation, entrepreneurship, science and technology. She performed as a professional ballet dancer with the English National Ballet, Norwegian National Ballet, Zurich Ballet and continues to perform with Boston Ballet in the US.
During the pandemic, Merritt Moore combined her passions of dance and robotics and created dance performances with robots that she programmed.
She has since delivered keynote speeches around the world and combined these highly informative presentations with ultra creative and dynamic performances with robots.
Merritt Moore’s highly skilled presentations featured at the World Economic Forum – Davos, Forbes Women’s Summit – Abu Dhabi, WORLD MINDS – Belgrade, Infosys – Vienna and she presented ‘Machine Yearning’ on GoTech World’s main stage in Bucharest. She also delivered Keynote presentations and appearance in countries including the USA, UK, Mexico, Switzerland, Germany, France, Romania and more.
Her collaborations include brands and organisations such as Louis Vuitton, KIA, EY, IBM, Wetransfer, Lycra and Bose and she has featured in major international media including TIME, Financial Times (FT), Vogue, BBC.
Merritt was one of only 12 candidates selected to undergo rigorous astronaut training on the BBC’s “Astronauts: Do you have what it takes? – Dear Moon’ project, which aimed to travel around the moon on SpaceX’s Starship.
Her interdisciplinary work earned her a spot in Forbes 30 under 30 and most recently, she used her expert tech skills to assist with the Opening Ceremony of the Summer Olympics: Paris 2024!
