About
Lucy Hedges
Lucy Hedges is a journalist and TV presenter specialising in consumer technology, whose obsession with gadgets began back in the 90s when middle-of-the-night SNES marathons were considered normal. Alongside her role as technology editor for Metro newspaper – the world’s largest free newspaper and the third biggest newspaper in the UK – Lucy is a presenter for The Travel Show on BBC World News, and has been a frequent speaker and host at a number of live events. This includes Google GSEC, Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Adobe’s Amplify Kickoff, Veolia Spark, AI everything, GITEX, IOTX, Canon Live and ReImagined product launches, Fujitsu’s World Tour. Some recent events include London Tech Week and the British Educational Training and Technology Show (BETT).
She has also hosted her own travel series for Channel 4. Lucy has a passion for all things tech, but perhaps most importantly, she loves disproving the gender assumption that women are not as gadget-savvy as men.
Lucy is a true professional in every manner. She has undertaken various projects for Canon Europe and her preparation, delivery and attitude is exemplary. Lucy gets the best out of every project she is involved with and her enthusiasm for work is infectious, and as a host she regularly brings the best out of her guests whatever the brief is. We would highly recommend her for all manner of brand work.
Canon
Lucy is an amazingly engaging and dynamic live event host and / or moderator, with a great stage presence which is energetic yet humble. She makes every effort to understand Google as an organisation, our particular business area, the event objectives, content, tone and audience demographic, and therefore her delivery is extremely authentic.
