About

Lucas Jones

Lucas Jones is a 28 year old actor and poet from London.

Despite being born in the capital and, on average, moving house every two years or so as a child, Lucas was predominately raised in a small town in Cambridgeshire. He spent his childhood fascinated by creativity and showing intense interest in the limited arts available to him. Lucas wrote his first poem at the age of 6.

After falling in love with film, scripts and soundtracks as a teenager, Lucas went on to study acting at the age of 16. He decided to pursue a professional career without attending drama school, instead opting to form his journey into the industry. At the age of 19, Lucas began appearing in small commercials and plays before progressing onto more mainstream roles. To date, his acting credits include roles in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’, Channel 4’s ‘MAXXX’ and the upcoming HBO series ‘Get Millie Black’, to name just a few.

Lucas started writing poetry as a true passion from a very young age and was first published in a national anthology at the age of 12, for a poem called ‘The Recycling Rap’ with his young concerns for environmental issues. This furthered his love for the written word, soon evolving into a deep passion for songwriting. For several years, alongside his acting career, Lucas was the lead singer and writer in the indie band ‘The Rose Affair’ and later, a solo project called ‘London Foxes’. Both projects received great critical acclaim and regular national airplay with a loyal fan-base, with Lucas’ lyricism becoming a staple.

In late 2023, Lucas released his first self-published paperback book of poetry;

‘(Sorry I Was Miles Away) In the Year of Romance’. Within a matter of weeks, the book had become a viral phenomenon, racking up over 5 million views with videos of Lucas reading his work sweeping the internet. Lucas’ work was quickly endorsed and shared by many in the entertainment industry, including Jessie J, Bella Ramsey, Imogen Heap, Michael Stipe & Jade Petty John.

Since the release of the book in December 2023, Lucas’ following has increased by over 120,000 followers between his Instagram and Tik Tok account, and his poetry content has amassed over 18 Million views.
