Mark Chapman
With a 15-year career spanning television and radio, Mark fronts a number of BBC Radio 5Live’s flagship sports programmes, including their coverage of the Premier League, Rugby Union, cricket and golf.
On television, as well as being the face of one of the BBC’s most popular sports programmes Match of the Day 2, Mark fronts the BBC’s Rugby League coverage as well as the networks coverage of American Football, and previously the Confederations Cup and Final Score.
Mark has written, presented and co-produced a range of documentaries, such as Inside Sport: The Last Taboo, an investigation into homosexuality in football, and, more recently, the critically acclaimed Peddlers: Cycling’s Dirty Truth – a look at doping in cycling through the era of Lance Armstrong. A prolific author, Mark’s first book was released in 2010 and his second title, ‘The Love of the Game’, was released in 2016. Mark has also written for Match of the Day’s magazine, Shoot, The Independent and the Telegraph.
Away from sport, Mark fronts several documentaries and features for BBC One, including Disaster Britain – a light-hearted science show that looks at the everyday mishaps and accidents that people encounter in their daily lives.
Even when he isn’t broadcasting, Mark never strays far from the microphone and works as the in-ground host of One-Day International Cricket in England, has hosted events for a huge number of major brands including Adidas, Barclays, The FA, Jaguar and Red Bull, as well as supporting many charities such as Sport Relief, CLIC Sargent and the Bobby Moore Fund.
